A place of worship, welcome & care in Peterborough.
For generations, our stone church on Kitchener Street has been a quiet constant in the life of this town — a place to worship, to belong, and to be looked after in seasons of joy and of difficulty. Whoever you are, you are welcome here.
The doors are open every week.
Come as you are — work boots, walking frame, pram and all. Morning tea follows the service, and there's always time for a chat.
Four promises we've kept for generations.
Worship
We provide and maintain a place for worship — a beautiful, prayer-soaked stone church where the community has gathered to mark life's great moments for generations: Sunday services, weddings, baptisms, funerals, harvest thanksgivings.
Fellowship
In a small town, church is where paths cross. We make room for genuine friendship — morning teas that run long, conversations that matter, and a community where newcomers are known by name within a fortnight.
Hospitality
The kettle is always on. Whether you arrive for a service, a community event or simply because the door was open, you'll be offered a seat, a cuppa and a reason to stay a little longer.
Pastoral care
Drought, illness, grief, loneliness — rural life carries real weight. We visit, we listen, we pray with those who ask, and we quietly help where help is needed. No one in our district should struggle unseen.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”Matthew 11:28 — the invitation on which this church was built

Church doesn't end at the church door.
From pastoral visits to hospital runs, harvest festivals to quiet casseroles left on doorsteps — our care follows people home, across Peterborough and the surrounding districts.
You'd be very welcome among us.
No dress code, no expectations, no pressure. Just a warm hello at the door and a seat saved if you'd like one.
